Take Two is an integral part of Berry Street and provides high quality, state-wide therapeutic service to children and young people who have suffered significant abuse or neglect and are clients of Child Protection. This exciting dual role combines the work of a Senior Clinician - Therapeutic Residential Care which works in close-knit partnership with Residential Care staff, the Department of Health & Human Services and other agencies and as a Regional Clinician also working with clients and their families or carers.

 

Senior Clinician - Therapeutic Residential Care (0.5EFT) – This is a specialist role designed to provide clinical assessment, consultancy and therapeutic support to the Berry Street Hume Therapeutic Residential Care program.

 

Regional Clinician (0.3EFT) – Primary objectives of this role will include:

  • Provision of high quality assessment and advice relating to the care of Child Protection clients referred to the Take Two program.
  • Provision and delivery of therapeutic interventions for children, young people and their families.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with the client, their families and the care team to achieve therapeutic goals and outcomes.

 

What we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Clinician who has a relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline. A sound understanding of the complexities of the service system, a demonstrated ability to provide direct service in the clinical assessment and treatment of young people and families, and a sound understanding of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and workers.
