Calling all Casual Relief Teachers – The Berry Street School is looking for Teachers to join our casual pool!
The Berry Street School caters for young people primarily aged 12 to 18 years who have become disengaged from mainstream education. The school currently has 4 campuses at Noble Park, Morwell, Shepparton and Ballarat. Each campus delivers the Trauma-informed Positive Education model. The school offers an adaptation of the National Curriculum for years 7-10 and the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL). The Morwell Campus has an enrolment of approximately 65 students.
The Berry Street School works from our Berry Street Model of Education, which encompasses a structured vision of wellbeing in the school community including the support of education case-management for each of our students. All students have an individual education plan encompassing holistic support for all learning activities.
We are seeking casual relief teachers to join our casual pool at our Morwell Campus. Our casual teachers will be “on call” and required to cover instances of leave of existing staff members. The Casual Relief Teacher will be required to adapt to a flexible learning environment, be creative and innovative in engaging our young people and lead from a strengths based perspective. Our students have complex educational needs and require your expertise to achieve their educational goals and outcomes.
To be successful in the role, you will be an experienced teacher with a tertiary qualification in Teaching, hold a current VIT registration and have effective organisational and administrative skills.
